Presented by the Australian Green Development Forum. You’re invited to join like-minded professionals with a focus on sustainability at our next Green Speed Learning Forum (GSLF). Our September GSLF focuses on the synergy of architecture & landscape.Architectural form often excludes the landscape - with the two considered in a disparate and disjointed manner. Optimal outcomes for both people and place are derived from addressing these elements holistically.
We've got an exciting line-up of presentation - a sneak peek at what we've got in store:
‘New Places on Old Country’: Joining us from Cairns, Belinda Allwood is an architect, landscape architect, maker and researcher, and a founding partner of People Oriented Design (POD). Belinda's presentation is about POD's landscape-centred intercultural design method for two supported accommodation projects in an Indigenous context, focusing on the theme of social sustainability.
'The future isn’t grey': Case studies exploring ecological infrastructure at all scales by Damian Thompson, Director of Lat 27. Damian is a registered landscape architect. Having over 20-years designing public and private environments his work spans across urban design and landscape architecture.
'From Kingfisher to Mary': Ralph Bailey and Managing Director Phil Jackson of Gymer Bailey Architects present learnings gleaned from projects spanning 25-years - the award-wining Kingfisher Bay Resort, and Mary Cairncross Centre.
